Please remember that this is meant for beginners and I know I'm not an expert, I just wanted to share some tips I think would be helpful to those of you having trouble drawing semi-realistic hair. My examples aren't great (the hair came out fried-looking on the tips 
) but hopefully you understand how it's supposed to look. There are tons of other techniques; this is just the one I use. I use Photoshop 2.0 but this should work in any program. I hope some of you find this useful!

I wouldn't worry about stupid people who bash you for getting on the front page involuntarily. Seriously. You did not ask to have that last tutorial make it to the front page. I think people forget that the new system insures that the front page now has a lot more to do with diversity than "skill" (which is a debateable factor as it is) and that the artist has absolutely no control over whether their work shows up on the front page or not.
Keep up the good work and don't let people get you down <3
